Beaded Poppy .....................

I have been beading again, and made this lovely poppy,
my mother in law says it looks more like a anemone but there you go lol.

Just a little jumper ...........

Here are a couple of photo's of a little jumper I knitted the other day,
its done a beautiful pale green, and chunky wool, so lovely and thick and warm,
will be putting this for sale along with a few other bits in my folksy shop either tonight or tomorrow.

Jelly Baby presents for my niece xx

Hello everyone on this lovely sunny bright warm day,
sure makes you feel a lot better when the weather is like this,
yesterday I had the back door open for a long while and it was lovely,
I got these lovely jelly baby beads hand made by my friend Faye Cassey,
she sells on ebay under the name craftyfaye71 just in case you might want to get some,
she does different colours and other types as well.

My niece adores bracelets and wanted something that the other girls have not got.
so I got these jelly baby beads and made her the bracelet above,
the bootlace necklace below,

and with the silver one that Faye kindly sent me as a bonus I made this other bootlace necklace
for my friends daughter.

I have also knitted a hat, scarf, fingerless mitten set will post those on here a bit later.

What do 36 large crochet squares make?

I first crocheted 36 of the lovely squares above,
edged them, sewn them together, then did a double row edging to the whole piece,
and it has turned into a wonderful double bed throw,
this is nice and heavy as it was made by myself using aran wool
I am over the moon and very pround of completing this within 3 weeks of starting it,
and that includes knitting a hat, baby jumper as well which I will show photos of later.

You will have to excuse the photo's as my bed is a king size and we dont have much room in our bedroom as you can see, to get decent photos and the weather is rubbish today so no sun either.

My Knight in shining armour and a square..........

Hello everyone,
the above photo shows my knight in shining armour,
its my youngest son Declan ready in fancy dress for book day at school today,
and the photo below is one of my 36 crochet squares that I am doing to make a throw for a double bed,
I hope to be able to do my card today for tomorrows new challenge at Ellephantastic,
but am not well, so got to time it right in between bathroom visits,

Head Band/Ear Warmer in Pink, and a whoopsy lol

Hi Folks,
here are a couple of photo's of a head band/ear warmer that I have knitted over the last couple of days, its in a lovely chunky soft wool, in a pale pink, lovely and warm.
have just listed it in my folksy shop along with two throws that I have also made over the last couple of weeks.
and as for the title the whoopsi, oh my gosh,
Yes I made a card ready for my dt on Saturday,
and wont name which son it was but it got covered in coke,
so what a big whoopsi, and yes I wasnt pleased as I had actually made a card and hadnt got around to getting a photo, so got to start again. tut tut,
never mind son these things happen and are sent to try us.
Will make another tomorrow as feel really low (energy wise) today, so just going to rest all day.
