Champagne Ted .........

Hi everyone,
apologies for lack of posts, still having puter issues,
This card is one I made yesterday,
I used one of the glitter girls boards to do the frame with, added peel off's,
The image I coloured, then distressed around it with chalks,
I have used blues, browns, and creams for this card,
with the added gold of the peel offs.

I am entering this into the challenge over at THE CRAFTY PAD,

Louis The Lamb ........

Hello everyone,
As you know I have been having internet problems,
So while not on the computer, I just had to do something,
Here is one of the results,
It is Louis the Lamb,
Hand knitted soft toy,
Turned out better than I expected, as was not that keen on the pattern.
A very fiddly one to knit this, as it has linings as well as the out parts of the body,
the sewing together was the worst part,
But just thought I would share him with you all.
Thanks for popping by,
hoping to be back a little later today with a card.

It is a heart bookatrix card, in lilac, white with a hint of green stems on the lavender,
Sorry for the photo's but it didn't stop raining yesterday so could not get a decent piccy,
and today it is sunny and this card has already gone, so no chance to take more.
It is really pretty in real life.

The lavender is enhanced with lilac flower soft, and has a lavender ribbon down the spine,
It has two pages and you can see the lower pages in the photo below.

I made a white box for it, and decorated it with two matching patterned hearts.

I am entering this into the following challenges -

Happy Tuesday to you all,
Here is today's tutorial for the Character Cafe.
You will need -
a piece of card measuring 296mm long x 121mm wide, and a matching 62mm square.
Character Cafe Images of your choice.

Fold length ways down the middle,
like in the photo below.
Mark on both ends at the edges at 58mm and 103mm,
mark on the centre fold at both ends 78mm (just a dot will do for this)

Score straight across the width of the card at the 58mm marks,
then from the dot in the centre of the card diagonally up to the 103mm marks on the edges,

Score straight across the width of the card at the 58mm marks,
then from the dot in the centre of the card diagonally up to the 103mm marks on the edges,
With the back of the card facing you fold along the 58mm score line towards you.

Choose your images from the Character Cafe shop.
and colour, I have cut my chosen images out.
Apply these to the two squares at either end of the card.

I made a 3rd square with Happy 80th Birthday Dad on.
and then put name under this in the centre, as I used these for table place settings for
his birthday meal.
Below you can see the finished project.
This can be used as cards, place settings anything you wish.

Hope you enjoyed todays tutorial,
and look forward to seeing them used in the Character Cafe Friday Challenge.

Dad's 80th Birthday Card

Hello Everyone,
Have you missed me? it feels like month's not just a week since I have been crafting and blogging.
Well I have been doing some crafting, it was good to after so long not being able to,
I made this wonderful wheelbarrow for my Dad's 80th Birthday yesterday,
I used a template I had in my stash, printed out the papers from a cd, as they remind me of the canal boat items, made the box, and I actually used sandwich bags (as I could not find my acetate) for the windows. The flowers where from a blog friend when I bought some stamps of her on ebay.
On top of the lid, in peel off's was
'Happy 80th Birthday to a Special Dad - with love'
We had a great meal at a local pub restaurant, and then back to mum and dad's for a birthday tea as well. I also made him favour boxes, and place settings for the table which you can see a tutorial on Tuesday.
so please pop back for them.
Above is a close up of the wheelbarrow.
I am entering this into the following challenges -
Saturday Spotlight - Use a household item (sandwich bags)
Saturday Challenge - Multi Folds
CraftyAngelsOnline - Fantastic Flowers
Paperplay - Birthday for someone special (can't get no more special than my dad)
Thanks for looking,
Hugs

Hello Everyone .........

Hi Everyone,

My swollen feet and ankles are on their way down,
nearly back to normal, a lot less painful,
I will be back crafting again next week,

This weekend is my dear ole Dad's 80th Birthday

We are going out for a surprise dinner (at lunch time) that he does not know about,

Then after the meal we are getting my 3 boys and going round to mum and dad's house for a joint party for him and also my eldest son Kieran who is 14 on the 15th Feb, and my youngest who will be 9 on the 19th Feb.

I am very busy today making place cards, favour boxes, and banners for my dad,
as well as his two cards, and then two cards for my eldest son.
I am also working on a tutorial.

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend,
and stay safe and warm.

Quick Update on me if your interested......

I went to see the doctors this morning about my swollen lower legs, ankles, and feet,
He has given me water tablets, and anti biotic's
and the wonderful advice to rest as much as possible with feet up.
Does he realise that I have 3 boys to look after,
and lots of crafting to be done, obviously not.
But I have to try and get the swelling down, as if it does not go it could be
thrombosis, and that worries me, as I do not know what it is properly.
so when the courage comes I will search it on internet.
Please pop back tomorrow for the Character Cafe Blog Hop,
and Monday for the new Kaboodle Doodle Challenge,
Apart from those I am going to be quiet for a few days as can't sit at puter for long.
Hugs
