A challenge card for Rosie Dee

 

This is the card I had to wait for the glue to dry on, its for the challenge over at Rosie Dee's

Yes its a sympathy card, and its parchment craft cross and lily’s on a black and white layers, and the words With Sympathy are silver peel offs.

Two Commissioned 3d cards

 

I got a order this morning for two 3d birthday cards, the first is the golf one you can see above, I hand cut out a 3d decoupage sheet, and mounted it on different colour greens,

I used silicone gel to make this one with, and entering it into the dimension challenge over at Paper Play, I also decorated the insert as well.

 

The second commissioned card is for a boy who is approx 6, no idea on what he likes etc, so chose to do a car 3d card for this order.

I hand cut the decoupage and this time I used red and blue cardstock for mounting and layering on, but also used foam pads instead of silicone glue.

I also added a insert for this card as well.

Notepad Sketch

 

This afternoon, between another card I am making,

which I will show later when its dried, I made this little A6 size notepad, the actual notepad did not even have a cover, and I want to make some more of these for the charity stall, and to sell to raise money for the charity's that I aim to help.

 

I made the cover from plain white card, then used the pink patterned card and cut the curved corners with my scissors, added the red ribbon across the bottom.

Hand cut out one image from a decoupage sheet I have had in my stash forever, matted and layered it onto the red glitter card, silver mirri board and the flower patterned paper.

I am entering this into the sketch challenge over Die Cut Dreams

Back from Doctor’s and a pair of earrings.

 

Hello everyone,

I am back from the doctors, Oh Boy, its horrendously expensive to be ill here, I have got to take two lots of tablets for my shoulder and they cost me £14.40, I don’t go to the Doctor’s hardly at all, now I know why, I have to take these tablets for a month, then if its not sorted go back.

I hope that it is sorted by then as its to expensive to get more tablets.

Anyways the Doctor said that I can continue doing whatever, as the anti-inflammatory tablets will sort it out.

So here are a pair of earrings that I have made since being back.

As I am doing a charity stall at the beginning of September, I would do some other things apart from my cards to sell, so started with this pair of earrings.

Hope to be back later today with more crafty items.

DT Call for La-La Land and of to Doctor’s

 

Just before I go of to Doctor’s about my shoulder, I was blog hopping and found that Irena has a DT Call for La-La Land crafts

So I have applied and of course it would be a dream come to true to be a DT on another site apart from Kaboodledoodles.

Pink Magnolia

 

My second card today, and last as my arm is hurting again, never mind off to doctor’s in the morning to get it sorted.

This card falls into two challenges, they are the sketch over at Just Magnolia which finishes in just over half an hour, and the other is to use any magnolia stamp over at Scrappy Frogs

I used a pale salmon pink card stock, then a pink patterned card for the base, various other pink patterned papers and a woodchip sentiment, all from my stash, I water coloured the Magnolia image (which came from a friend).

and the insert is a plain mottled pink.

A outing for me, and a card from me

 

Today, my hubby took me to the range, and I bought myself a new set of water colour pencils, as the other lot I had (now passed down to my youngest son) where really cheap and nasty ones, I also a couple of other little bits like mini calendars to make some of my decoupage etc into calendars. We also had time out from the boys, and a burger and McFlurry, my arm is not hurting to much today either, but shall still go to doctor’s tomorrow.

Anyways I just had to use the pencils, so here are the results,

I used some lovely gold patterned silver mirri board, then edged that in gold ribbon, the shape with the word FUN on it is chipboard and I added gold glitter glue to it, added 4 gold gems,

The image is Mikey from Charmed Cards, and I water coloured him, then cut him out in a circle and mounted that onto gold mirri card, using 3d foam pads mounted it onto the card.

A Card for a Friend

 

Oh boy, its took me all day to make this card,

silly really but because of my arm, its took me this long to do one card, looks like I will have to rest more until it gets better, I have a doctor’s appointment on Friday morning, so hopefully wont be long till I am ok again.

I used a free digi stamp from vc stamps and followed their sketch, only to find that I am a few hours late for their challenge, I also combined it with the theme pearls from Stamp with Fun, and the theme Animals & Flowers, green, pink & brown from Cupcake, and seeing as it is for my friend because she has helped me as I cant do a lot with my arm at the moment, I am also entering in Cute Daisy May for the friendship theme.

I used water colours to colour her in with, all in pinks, greens and browns, added a little glitter on her wings, and eyes. The card stock is brown, with pink backing paper, then a patterned brown paper and green again, the pearls also came from my stash.

Summer Time Fun ….

 

This is my card I made this evening, I made it with a free digi stamp from Delightful Sketches and followed their sketch, but I also combined it with the Polka dot theme over at Creative Card Crew and Summer Fun theme at Bee Crafty, also as I have decorated the inside (albeit plainly) for the challenge over at Stamptacular Sunday.

I water coloured the image, and added my own polka dots to her swimming costume and ribbon on her hat.

Fairy Scene Notepad

 

This project I made this afternoon,
I created the scene using a fairy and a flower which I added glitter to, and mounted onto a tag, I used my swirly scissors to cut the bottom of the tag and the other two layers as well. The lovely flowers are made of  mulberry paper and I have glittered the centres as well.

I followed the sketch over at Midnight Madness, and used the theme of swirls (which can be seen on the butterfly’s) from Tuesday Taggers and Spoonful of Sugar, create a scene theme from Danni's Dreams, and last but not least Charisma Cardz of using a tag.

I am doing a few of the notepads at the moment as I am doing a charity stall shortly, and these notepads are tending to sell well at the moment.

All of these items where from my stash, apart from the new notepad.

DT for Kaboodle Challenge No 10

 

This is my DT card the new challenge (No 10) at Kaboodedoodles this fortnight.

It is to use a digital image, well I used the new set that is coming out shortly at Kaboodles shortly,  Just thought I would tease you with it, as I was so excited with this set, just could not wait to use it, it has digital images and some superb backing papers.

I used two of the new papers, and one of the new images.

I did a torn edge around the image then distressed it in pink chalk.

I hope to be kept busy by visiting all the lovely entry’s into this challenge,

We are open to all sorts of craftiness, as long as a digital image, (doesn’t have to be one of ours). is used for this challenge.

I made this card between this morning and afternoon,

Then went to see how many challenges it fitted with,

well it is 9, yes NINE that it fits in with, this must be a record even for me, lol.

The two backing papers and the shape that the image is on, that I have used are from Pink Christmas Set from Funkyfairy, (see sidebar for link).

The stamped image from Forever Friends, which i embossed in clear and then water coloured.

The little trees are 3d peel off stickers, metal tag is Stamping Up.

Black and White

 

Well I haven’t made a card for what seems like years,

apart from my sons birthday card that you can see in a earlier post.

I am entering this into the them of ‘NEW’ challenge over at the The Craftypad as the images and papers are all new. I don’t have any craftypad stuff at the moment due to worrying times with cash.

Poncho No3 – Purple & White

 

I have finished all the poncho’s now,

Here is a photo of the last one, Its purple & white,

even tho the photo’s look like blue.

I really love how all three of these have turned out, (see older posts for the other two).

they look a lot better in real life than they do in the photo’s.

These will be ready to post on Monday to Jane.

Now what shall I do?  that is the question, I have a order that I am doing at the moment for a knitted aran cardigan, but need something else to do as well.

Will get the house sorted then hopefully get some time to make some cards as well today.

Missed doing the challenges just lately, as being on holiday, doing these lovely poncho’s, and my sons birthday, all occupied me to the extent I didn’t get to do any, but I am not complaining.

Special Birthday Card for my son Hayden

 

Today is my son Hayden’s 12th Birthday,

Poncho No2 – Pink and White

 

Yehaaaaaaa,  2 down, 1 to go,

I have finished the pink and largest poncho,

I have been sitting here nearly all day doing the tassels, 

140 of them around the bottom, all with 6 strands of 12” in each one, then two more for the neck tie.

I am so please with how it looks, what do you think?

Here it is in its full splendour,

Off to cook dinner, then start on the last one, its not as big as these other two.

Back tom with more crafty things,

I am missing doing my cards, so will be doing some of them as soon as the other one is done, of to crochet after dinner, while watching the darts again.

Oh My What A Day,

 

 

Well, it all started this morning, or nearly afternoon, lol,

I normally get up at 6.30am, have a cuppa and get my emails done and then get the boys sorted and have the rest of the day to myself as such, but not today, I didn’t wake up till 8.15am, so that lost nearly two hours, didn’t get my cuppa as hubby already went to work at normal time, just after 6.30am,

I made two cards today, for some silly reason they took me nearly all day, they where two photo’s that had to be decoupaged, and then put on cards, but I can’t show you them as they are of a lovely ladies children, and she doesn’t want the people to see them before they get them.

I have done a tiny bit of crocheting, and just realised its nearly 7pm, I just don’t know where today has gone, so will make sure my alarm is set for nice and early tom.

The photo below is my very first scrapbook page I have ever done, I did this yesterday.

Its a green page, with blue gingham backing paper, I followed the sketch that was given in a yahoo group I belong to.

I am pleased the way it turned out, (the purple is the actual scrap book)

back tom with some cards that I can show you hopefully, as going to do dinner now and then crochet while watching the darts on the telly again this evening.

Yay, I had a bit of time to craft

 

I got a bit of time to craft this afternoon, so I managed to make this lovely notepad, and it fitted in with a few challenges, only 5 this time, lol.

The weather is so rubbish today, I can’t get a decent picture of this, the background is actually a lovely pale pink, and the rest is brown, to fit in with the challenge over at Danni's Dreams, the sketch is from Carol's Sketch Fun, even tho I have turned it on its side, then we have the theme animal’s from Lili of the Valley, and The Pink Elephant, also at Paperblooms where you have to use a crocheted embellishment, which are the two lovely flowers.

I layered this lovely popcorn bear topper on the pale pink to match the background, and then on a different brown, I also used pink peel off dots to decorate the curved edge, and added a pretty pink butterfly instead of a sentiment, this is actually a altered notepad.

Right back to my crocheting now, while watching the darts on the telly.

Poncho Number 1

 

 

Hooray, I finally finished the first of the three poncho’s that Jane ordered, this one is purple and white, I stayed up until half past midnight last night, just finishing of them darn tassels.

There is 6 strands of 12 inches in each tassel, all hand measured and cut individually, there is a total of 116 tassels around the bottom and then 2 more on the neck tie.

 

I finished crocheting the body of this purple one, just before I went away last Thursday, and luckily enough am near enough half way through crocheting the next one, which is pink, and yet again will have white tassels and tie.

Boys permitting, I might get some time today to do a card or two, but with this weather, consistently raining, I might not, so please bare with me.

I am back from my holiday,,,,,

Hello Everyone,

I got back late last night from a lovely short holiday,
the 3 boys enjoyed themselves very much just going around the Land Rover show at Newark,
My hubby was like a kid in a toy shop, and me I enjoyed the scenery of the camp site where we had our campervan, which was a two minute walk away from the Land Rover show, we even see the Battle of Britain flyover, got some pictures but my son has gone out already and I dont know how to get them of my phone, lol.
I spent a lot of the time when not playing with the boys and relaxing, just knitting and crocheting,
I have started to knit a Aran cardigan which I have done a fair bit to, but managed to get about half a crocheted poncho done as well.
I will post photo's of them when they are finished.
Will be catching up on washing, housework etc today,
but will be back with more crafting items as the week goes on,

Are you seeing double????

 

Don’t panic, its not your eyesight going wonky,

There are photo’s of two cards coming up, both are the same picture image, but one is pyramage and the other is invertage,

The first is pyramage,

Which is where the image gets smaller as you layer up and looks like a pyramid.

The next one is the invertage,

this is where the top layer is the biggest, so it looks like you are looking into the picture, not the picture coming out at you.

Hope this has helped some of you, who like me to begin with wasn’t familiar with all the different ‘ages’ that are out there.

Wahoo, what a super birthday

 

Good Morning everyone,

First of all THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE who has took the time to wish me a happy birthday for today,

My husband spent over an hour last night at my craft table (kitchen table lol) this house is just to small with 3 boys to have a craft room, making this card for me….

Not going to show the inside as its way to mushy for you all lovelys out there, lol.

 

This mornings posty brought me these two lovely packages from two fantastic friends that I have made through blogland,

the first is from Jo, (kinglake), fantastic card, and wonderful gifts,

and this from Helen,  a beautiful card, (my favourite colour).
