Betty Boop Candle

Good Morning one and all,
Thank you for taking some of your precious time to stop by my blog.
This is a present for my sister in law,
She is as bad as me for liking Betty Boop,
I stamped and coloured Betty 4 times on tissue paper,
then fused them onto the candle.
This is a little dumpy candle that burns for 50 hours,
and will put in a card cellophane bag with gold ribbon to give to her.
I am entering this into the challenge over at La La Land which is anything but a card.

Back Later,

Soft Pencils Anything But A Card challenge,

Over at Soft Pencil, the challenge this week is anything but a card,
I needed to do some more christmas presents today, and seeing as money is tight,
decorating candles is a lovely but not expensive gift.
I used a Digi Image from Soft Pencil, coloured with my whisper pens then fused it onto the candle, this is a 100 hour candle.
Then for finishing touches I use a card bag and some gold ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by,
Back tomorrow now with more lovelies.

Nice Warm Hands, (and they are mine)

This is the second thing this year that I have made for myself,
I am not used to making bits for myself, normally make for charity, or orders that I have,
but being Christmas the orders are all done, and I was totally fed up with my middle son keep knicking my gloves, even tho he has his own, so last night I start knitting these fingerless mittens, and finished them before I went to the food shop for milk just before dinner today.
I have been playing and generally having fun with my boys rest of the day.
After dinner shortly, I want to do something else needlecraft wise, just not sure again what.
Anyone got any ideas?
The photo's are taken by my eldest son, and these are his idea of showing of the gloves/mittens.
I knitted them with aran wool, and they did not take me that long, I took a basic mitten pattern and adjusted it to be fingerless and to my length as I tend to have long fingers.

Thanks for stopping by,

This is what I came up with today ..........

This is what I have done today, between food shopping and visiting my mum & dad again,
I stamped this cuddlybuddly image onto a canvas picture frame,
then coloured with my sakura pens,
The little bear is all sparkled up in case you can't see the glitter.
This does look a lot better in real life, this close up does not do it justice.
This is another one of my last minute gifts as money is tight this year so making lots of the gifts.
I am entering this into the following challenges -
Easy Craft Projects - Picture Frame
Allsorts - Anything but a card
Saturday Challenge - Last Minute Gifts
Lots To Do - Free Theme

Thanks for stopping by,
I am know of to finish the hat I crocheted last night, and start on something new,
just can't decide whether its knitting or crocheting or even cross stitching,
such hard decisions.

Just a couple of cards to share ........

I had a couple of cards to make quickly,
so here they are,

I used my 3d decoupage 2 disc to make them into pyramage,
and made the backgrounds from my craft studio.

They are both A4 in size,
and the blue one is oblong pyramage,
the purple one is oval pyramage,

Thanks for stopping by today,
I have been over to see my dad,
then popped to get some candles to decorate,
also spent most of the day crocheting a hat, but I dont like the end product,
so not happy with it, can not find a suitable pattern for the thickness of the wool.
going to crochet a normal one in aran wool to make up for it instead.
Have a super weekend,

Christmas Tree Ornament

Good Morning from a cold snowy Braintree,
my two eldest have had their school shut so no more school for them till next year,
and my youngest has the hump as his school has not shut, so he had to go in.
Yesterday afternoon and evening I made a ornament for my tree,
I stamped the image several times, then coloured and glittered, when dry layered it up using foam pads, and attached some gold ribbon.
There are golds, greens, reds, silvers, purples and glitter galore on this, but no matter how I try,
I just can't get all the colours to show properly, looks really nice on the tree with the lights catching it.

I am entering this into the challenges over at

Three Clovers - Ornaments
Crafty Creations - Traditional Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by,
I am of to craft now,
stay warm and safe everyone,

Character Cafe Tuesday Tutorial -Tri Fold Shutter Card

Good Morning All, I have been asked how to make a Tri Fold Shutter card,
This is the first time for me as well, and believe me it is not hard,
I found the measurements for this over at Splitcoaststampers.
For this card you will need -
5.5" x 12" card stock,
backing papers of your choice,
Images of your choice,
(why not pop over and see what wonderful ones we have at the character cafe.)
I have used Christmas Scamp, I just adore this image.
and this is suitable for my friend as she has 3 cheeky dogs.
Score the card on the long edge at 2" 4" 8" and 10"
the on the short side measure in 1.5" and from the 2 score line cut till you get to the 10" score line, repeat this on the other edge of the short side,

Once the two cuts are done,
you can fold it like the photo below.

Then you can
Cut 4 pieces of patterned paper 1 7/8” x 1 3/8”. Cut 2 pieces of patterned paper 1 7/8” x 3 7/8”. Cut 1 piece of patterned paper 2 3/8” x 3 7/8”.

these will make fantastic layering pieces like I have done below,
make sure they are the right sizes before you stick them, once you are happy then stick them.
I have used nice bright colours for mine.
I printed and coloured christmas scamp with sakura pens,
used mirror board, holographic board and plain coloured board for the layers.

Here are close ups of the finished card, before I added personalisation.

I do hope you will give this a go,
look forward to seeing your finished projects, you could combine them with the Character Cafe's friday challenges.

I am entering this card into the Holiday Frenzy Challenge over at Digital Ink Co.
and the anything goes challenge over at Creative Card Crew.

Thank You for popping by,
Hope you enjoyed this as much as I did making the tutorial for you.

Oh My Christmas Tree, its taken forever

Well this is my tree, finally up and decorated,
I can not get a decent photo,
It is a fibre optic tree, and covered from head to toe in baubles and hanging decorations,
including the ones I have made myself,
The knitted ones you see days ago in a earlier post,
and will post photo's of the others when I can get a decent photo of them.
I can't believe how long it took me to get the tree up and get it decorated.
the rest of the room will be done tomorrow now.
I started this after spending the morning watching my middle son play football,
he scored and the team won 10 -1, so they are now through to the semi's.
Thanks for popping by,
I hope you all had a great weekend,

Sing a song of Snow

This lovely card is A4 in size,
I followed the sketch (turned it upside down) from Truly Scrumptious,
I printed the background picture of the door scene, added glitter to it on the snow,
then stamped and cut out my caroling snow family.
coloured them with sakura pens.
Then using foam pads put them as tho they are singing in front of the door.

The lady that ordered this wanted it for her daughter and son in law,
the backing papers came from my stash,
here is the inside decorated as well.

This is also being entered into the challenges at
