Something Different for a child .......

This card I made last night, as my youngest son is going to his friend James birthday party tonight, who is 9, and loves Arsenal, they are of to have a pizza and go to the cinema to see a film straight from school, so he is going to have a great time.
He asked me to do a Arsenal card for James.
so I found a picture on the internet, and then made my own 3d decoupage up,

I have also made a matching insert for the card as well,
the blue looks a bit bright in the photo's but it is darker in real life.

Have a great day,

Simple Easel Card ...........

Today I made this simple easel card,
I followed the sketch from Truly Scrumptious,
Using a Whoopsi Daisy Image,
Whisper pens, backing papers from my stash.
As you can see from the photo below, the hidden message on the tag is
'Thank You'
The flowers where hand crocheted by myself and a little pearl seed bead added to the centres.
I used my little distresser tool on all layers, and then distressed around the image with my chalks as well.
This card fits into the following challenges -
Truly Scrumptious - Sketch & Hidden Message
ABC - T is for Thank You
Die Cut Dreams - Make Your Own Flowers
Creative Crafts - Flowers
Stampavie & More - Distressing
Saturday Challenge - Distressing
Dare U2 Digi - Flowers

OOOOOOOOO Wowserssssssssss what a day,

Well, I got up early and made a card,
which I will post a little later, still waiting for the glue to dry,
I then got a call from Mrs Tiggy Winkle and we popped to the local cheap shop,
which is in Tiptree, I did not need much so just bought a ball of cotton to crochet some dish clothes with later, Mrs Tiggy got a phone call and had to end the day quickly, as she had to rush off, instead of our normal lunch and giggles.
But to my surprise and cheered me up was a parcel waiting for me on my door step,
I had not ordered anything and have not entered any blog candys for a long while either,
so what was it?
You can see it all in the photo above,
I had entered a competition in a magazine called Knit Today,
and won, and this is my lovely prize,
I shall use all of this making things to sell for my local animal rescue shelter,
so its not just going to do me good by winning it, but help the animals as well.
Oh boy am I a happy bunny,
Back laters with my card I made today.

This is what I have been doing the last couple of days ...

It is my mum and dad's friend Peter's special birthday this week,
so because he used to be a farmer they wanted a special card for him.
so we ended up with deciding on a tractor.

I drew round all the templates and cut them out,
then painstakingly folded, glued, waited patiently for the glue to dry,
as using double sided tape is not good on this type of thing.
I did add peel off's to the rear and back bumper to make a number plate,
with 'PETER' on it, but that was after the photo's.

This fits in with the challenges over at -
Paperplay - No Patterned Paper
Die Cuts R Us - Earth Day

Thanks for stopping by,
Hope you have a great day

A Lovely New Fairy for you all .............

I just fell in love with this little beauty when I see her over at Whoopsi Daisy,
so just had to treat myself to her and the other lovelies on that sheet from Linnie,
I had fun this morning colouring them all in, and making this card,
will use the other three soon,
I think I went a little mad with the stickles glitter, its over the flower centres on the backing paper, and the flowers on the image and around the image,
It was so nice sitting making this in my kitchen with the door open and the sun pouring in,
Here is a close up of my colouring.

3d Embossed Cup Cake

Well, it has been nearly two weeks since I have been on my blog,
and you haven't even missed me, lol,
I have not even crafted a card, knitting, crochet, nowt not a single craft for over 2 weeks now,
I am back of to the doctors on Wednesday morning to see what they have to say again,
Anyhow enough about me, Don't want to bore you to sleep and waste your crafting time, tehehe.

Here I have made a cupcake shaped card,
I used the embossing board from Crafter's Companion,
paper from my stash, and some beads from my stash as well.

I embossed the shape onto a A5 card so that the spine was in a place where it would not be cut all the way, as you can hopefully see from this picture below.

I then embossed and cut out the cake case at the bottom, and the pink icing at the top,
embossed and cut out and coloured a cherry for the top, added some glue and some seed beads.
All this is for my dt card for the new challenge over at kaboodle doodles today, which is embossing, so I am looking forward to seeing some great projects with any type of embossing,
be it be dry like mine, or wet, or machine.

I am also entering this into the following challenges over at
Cake or Balloons - Tuesday Taggers
Thanks for stopping by,
Cya again soon,

Easter Treat Pot - Long Post Lots of photo's

This is a recycled pot that I have decorated to make a bulb container for the bulbs I have bought my mum and dad for Easter,
The pot started of life as you can see in the photo below,

I covered it in glue, then ripped up some scraps of papers from my stash bag and stuck them all over it, left them to dry,
Found a fairy in a oval to decoupage up for the lid,
all hand cut,
Used a Sarah Kay Image for one side of the pot,
which I had already coloured some time ago and never got to use it,

Got this lovely image of bunny friends playing in pots, so coloured that this morning,
cut it out and stuck it on the other side of the Easter Gift Pot.

I am entering this into the following challenges,
